Retail Sales Manager

As a Retail Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales, training, and motivating our team to achieve outstanding results and exceed customer expectations.

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Retail Sales Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the sales operations of our retail store, as well as managing a team of sales associates. Your primary focus will be on driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and maximizing profitability. Additionally, you will be responsible for training and motivating our sales team to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

Sales Performance:

  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, meet targets, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Monitor sales metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize sales data and market research to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Lead by example and actively participate in sales activities, including customer interactions, product demonstrations, and closing sales.
  • Team lead for builder sales – track, organize and generate new business

Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and onboard new sales associates.
  • Perform regular team meetings, 1 on 1’s and employee reviews.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and guidance to improve sales performance.
  • Set sales targets and motivate the team to exceed expectations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and high morale.
  • Set team schedule and maintain appropriate coverage for the sales floor.

Customer Experience:

  • Always ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Train and empower the sales team to deliver personalized, knowledgeable, and engaging customer interactions.
  • Regularly monitor customer feedback and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction.

Product Knowledge and Merchandising:

  • Develop a deep understanding of our flooring products, their features, and benefits.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new product launches, and competitive offerings.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure effective product merchandising and promotional campaigns.
  • Participate in showroom management with owners.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas of improvement and develop action plans.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance and achievements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role within the retail industry.

Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to motivate, inspire, and train sales associates.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Familiarity with flooring products and installation processes (preferred).
